BOGOSHORTS abre la convocatoria para su 20º edición

El Festival de Cortos de Bogotá / Bogotá Short Film Festival - BOGOSHORTS celebrará su vigésima edición del 6 al 13 de diciembre de 2022 en la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia. Como es costumbre, desde el 9 de abril (fecha de El Bogotazo) hasta el 6 de agosto (Fundación de Bogotá), cortometrajes de todo el mundo podrán participar en las convocatorias de las competencias oficiales del festival que serán premiadas con la Santa Lucía.

SECCIONES EN COMPETENCIA

Realizadores y productores colombianos están invitados a participar en la Competencia Nacional, en la que se premian las categorías de Ficción, Documental, Animación, Experimental y Videoclip y otras categorías técnicas y artísticas que contribuyen al reconocimiento de los diferentes oficios que enriquecen al sector audiovisual del país.

La Competencia Internacional, por otro lado, se encuentra abierta para realizadores de todo el mundo (excluyendo Colombia) y premia con la Santa Lucía las categorías de Ficción, Documental, Animación, Experimental y Videoclip.

Los aspirantes también podrán inscribirse a las competencias F3 - Fanático Freak Fantástico, conformada por cortometrajes de terror, ciencia ficción, fantasía, o de géneros relacionados (comedia negra, crimen, realismo mágico, acción, suspenso, sobre superhéroes, etc.) y la Competencia VR, para cortometrajes producidos en 360°, en 2D y 3D, de cualquier país del mundo (incluyendo Colombia).

Todos los cortometrajes inscritos serán susceptibles de ser incluidos en la Competencia Colecciones en la que se entrega el Premio del Público BOGOSHORTS, conformada por programas temáticos que destacan la diversidad y estilo de los cortometrajes, y la Competencia Conexión, enfocada en crear dinámicas de reconocimiento y co-producción entre realizadores de países iberoamericanos.

FESTIVAL CALIFICADOR A LOS PREMIOS OSCAR Y GOYA

Desde 2018, BOGOSHORTS fue incluido en la lista de festivales calificadores de cortometrajes a los Premios de la Academia (Academy Awards®). Los cortometrajes ganadores de la Santa Lucía a Mejor Corto Ficción, Mejor Corto Documental y Mejor Corto Animación de la Competencia Nacional serán elegibles para su consideración a los Premios de la Academia en la siguiente temporada.

Así mismo, desde el 2020, el Bogotá Short Film Festival / Festival de cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS hace parte del listado oficial de festivales internacionales calificadores de cortometrajes españoles a los Premios Goya. La selección de las competencias oficiales del festival les dará la oportunidad de presentar su candidatura a las categorías de Mejor Cortometraje de Ficción y Mejor Cortometraje Documental.

REQUISITOS DE INSCRIPCIÓN

Para inscribirse, realizadores y productores deben tener en cuenta que solo se aceptarán obras de Ficción, Documental, Animación, Experimental y Videoclips de máximo 30 minutos, producidos desde el 1 de enero de 2021, que no hayan tenido ninguna exhibición pública en Colombia y que no se encuentren publicados en Internet (excepto videoclips).

El proceso de inscripción se llevará a cabo únicamente a través de la plataforma ShortFilmDepot (www.shortfilmdepot.com). No se aceptará ningún tipo de copia física ni screeners por fuera de la plataforma, y se aplicará una tarifa de inscripción con dos períodos de pago:

- Del 9 de abril al 6 de junio de 2022, la inscripción será gratuita para la Competencia Nacional, la Competencia F3 - Fanático Freak Fantástico y la Competencia VR, y se aplicará una tasa de 5 USD para la Competencia Internacional.

- Del 7 de junio al 6 de agosto de 2022, la inscripción será gratuita para la Competencia Nacional y Competencia VR, se aplicará una tasa de 5 USD a la Competencia F3 - Fanático Freak Fantástico y se aplicará una tasa de 10 USD para la Competencia Internacional.

Todos los cortometrajes colombianos, de coproducción colombiana o dirigidos por colombianos se deben inscribir en la COMPETENCIA NACIONAL.

VIDEOLIBRERÍA 6° BFM - BOGOSHORTS FILM MARKET

Adicionalmente, los cortometrajes de ficción, documental, animación y experimental producidos en países de Iberoamérica (excluyendo Portugal), por realizadores originarios de países iberoamericanos o en coproducción con estos, inscritos en las diferentes competencias de la convocatoria y que cumplan a cabalidad el Reglamento de la misma, serán incluidos sin costo adicional en la Videolibrería BFM de la sexta edición del BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market. En la Videolibrería, que busca promover la circulación de la producción audiovisual Iberoamericana, también son bienvenidos episodios de series web producidas en la región, que podrán ser inscritos en la sección EPISODIOS SERIES WEB - VIDEOLIBRERÍA BFM (SECCIÓN NO COMPETITIVA), de la convocatoria en ShortFilmDepot (leer el numeral 6 del Reglamento para más información).

Call for entries for the 20° BOGOSHORTS is now open

The Bogotá Short Film Festival / Festival de Cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS will celebrate its twentieth edition from December 6 to 13, 2022 in Bogotá, Colombia. As every year, the call to participate in the official competitions of the festival, awarded with the Santa Lucía statuette, will be open from April 9 (date of 'El Bogotazo') to August 6 (Bogotá’s foundation date).

COMPETITIVE SECTIONS

Colombian filmmakers and producers are invited to participate in the National Competition, which awards Fiction, Documentary, Animation, Experimental and Videoclip categories, as well as other technical and artistic categories that contribute to the recognition of the different professions that enrich the country's audiovisual sector.

The International Competition, on the other hand, is open to filmmakers from all over the world (excluding Colombia) and awards the Santa Lucía in the categories of Fiction, Documentary, Animation, Experimental and Videoclip.

Applicants may also enter the F3 - Fan Freak Fantastic Competition, for short films in horror, science fiction, fantasy or related genres (black comedy, crime, magical realism, action, suspense, superheroes, etc.) and the VR Competition, for short films produced in 360°, in 2D and 3D, from any country in the world (including Colombia)

All short films entered will be eligible to be included in the Collections Competition, where the BOGOSHORTS Audience Award will be presented, made up of thematic programs that highlight the diversity and style of the short films, and the Connection Competition, focused on creating dynamics of recognition and co-production between filmmakers from Ibero-American countries.

OSCAR'S AND GOYA QUALIFYING FESTIVAL

Since the 2018 edition, the festival has been included on the list of qualifying short film festivals for the Academy Awards®. For this reason, the winning short films of the Santa Lucía for Best Fiction Short Film, Best Documentary Short Film and Best Animation Short Film of the National Competition may be eligible for consideration to the concurrent season.

In addition, since 2020, the Bogotá Short Film Festival - BOGOSHORTS is part of the official list of international festivals that qualify Spanish short films for the Goya Awards. The selection in the official competitions of the festival will give them the opportunity to present their candidacy for the categories of Best Fiction Short Film and Best Documentary Short Film in the next season.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION

Filmmakers and producers must consider that the call for entries will only receive Fiction, Documentary, Animation, Experimental short films and Videoclips of maximum 30 minutes, produced after January 1, 2021, that have not had any public screening in Colombia and that are not available on the internet (except videoclips).

The registration process will be carried out only through the ShortFilmDepot platform (www.shortfilmdepot.com). Any kind of physical screening copy or online screeners will NOT be accepted. There is a submission fee with two payment deadlines:

- From April 9 to June 6, 2022, the submission will be free for the National Competition, the F3 - Fan Freak Fantastic Competition and the VR Competition, and a 5 USD fee will apply for the International Competition.

- From June 7 to August 6, 2022, the registration will be free for the National Competition and the VR Competition, a 5 USD fee will apply for the F3 - Fan Freak Fantastic Competition, and a 10 USD fee for the International Competition.

Every short film from Colombia, Colombian co-productions or short films directed by Colombian filmmakers must be submitted to the NATIONAL COMPETITION.

All films must pay the service fee (stamp) of the ShortFilmDepot platform.

6° BFM - BOGOSHORTS FILM MARKET VIDEOLIBRARY

Additionally, fiction, documentary, animation and experimental short films produced in Ibero-American countries (excluding Portugal), by filmmakers from Ibero-American countries or in co-production with them, submitted for the different competitions and fully complying with the Regulations of the same, will be included without additional cost in the BFM Videolibrary of the sixth edition of the BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market. In the Videolibrary, which seeks to promote the circulation of Ibero-American audiovisual production, episodes of web series produced in the region are also welcome, which may be entered to the section WEB SERIES EPISODES - BFM VIDEOLIBRARY (NON-COMPETITIVE SECTION), of the call in ShortFilmDepot (read section 6 of the Regulations for more information).
