BOGOSHORTS es el invitado en la 9º edición del Curt Creixent, encuentros del cortometraje, espacio de industria del Festival Internacional de cine de Valencia - CINEMA JOVE

BOGOSHORTS is the guest at the 9th edition of Curt Creixent, short film meetings, industry space of the Valencia International Film Festival - CINEMA JOVE (English Below)

Del 22 de Junio al 01 de Julio se celebrará la 38º edición del Festival Internacional de cine de Valencia - CINEMA JOVE, en Valencia, España, uno de los festivales más importantes para cine emergente en el territorio español, y que contará, cómo parte de sus jornadas profesionales del cortometraje Curt Creixent, con el Bogota Short Film Festival / Festival de cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS cómo festival invitado, con un programa especial de 6 cortometrajes que se exhibirán en la Cinemateca de Valencia, y a Jaime E. Manrique, su director, cómo participante de sus actividades.

Esta invitación, es un reconocimiento especial que realiza la organización de Curt Creixent a la trayectoria de BOGOSHORTS. 

A partir del 22 de junio se realizará en Valencia, España, la 38º edición de uno de los festivales más importantes para cine emergente en el territorio español, el Festival Internacional de Cine de Valencia - Cinema Jove, enfocado en resaltar el trabajo de realizadores menores de 40 años a nivel mundial.

En el marco del festival, se realizará la 9º edición del Curt Creixent, encuentros del cortometraje -del 26 al 28 de Junio-, un espacio de convergencia sobre el cortometraje con master classes, encuentros, debates y talleres. Allí, el Bogota Short Film Festival / Festival de cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS será el festival invitado de este año, contando con una proyección de cortometrajes participantes en la pasada edición del festival, y la integración en diversos encuentros con realizadores e instituciones, con el propósito de fortalecer la presencia española en la próxima edición, que se desarrollará del 5 al 12 de diciembre de 2023.

Al ser BOGOSHORTS el festival invitado, y con motivo de la celebración de sus 20 años, el Martes 27 de Junio a las 20:00 (Hora España), se proyectará en la Cinemateca de Valencia, los siguientes cortometrajes, participantes y ganadores de la pasada edición del festival en diciembre:

• Bebe, de Cristina Sánchez

• Arena, de Rossana Montoya
• La Sixtina, de Juan Camilo Fonnegra

• Paloquemao, de Jeferson Cardoza

• Bajamar, de Juana Castro

• Todo Incluido, de Duván Duque

BOGOSHORTS continúa su presencia europea en Figari, Italia

Del 26 de junio al 01 de julio se realizará la 13º edición del Figari International Short Film Festival, uno de los festivales nacientes en el territorio italiano más importantes para el cortometraje, y que se desarrolla cada año en el Golfo de Aranci, Isla de Cerdeña, en Italia. Allí, Jaime E. Manrique, fundador y director de BOGOSHORTS, hará parte de la terna de jurados que seleccionarán a los cortometrajes ganadores en la Competencia Nacional y Animación, así cómo participar del mercado audiovisual del festival.

From June 22nd to July 1st will be held the 38th edition of the International Film Festival of Valencia - CINEMA JOVE, in Valencia, Spain, one of the most important festivals for emerging cinema in the Spanish territory, and that will count, as part of its professional days of the short film ‘Curt Creixent’, with the Bogota Short Film Festival / Festival de cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS as guest festival, with a special program of 6 short films to be exhibited at the Cinemateca de Valencia, and Jaime E. Manrique, its director, as a participant in its activities.

This invitation is a special recognition by the organization of Curt Creixent to the trajectory of BOGOSHORTS.

Starting June 22, it will be held in Valencia, Spain, the 38th edition of one of the most important festivals for emerging cinema in Spain, the Valencia International Film Festival - Cinema Jove, will be held in Valencia, Spain, focusing on highlighting the work of filmmakers under 35 years of age worldwide.

A recognition to 20 years of love for short films

Within the framework of the festival, the 9th edition of Curt Creixent, short film meetings will be held from June 26th to 28th, a space of convergence on short films with master classes, meetings, debates and workshops. There, the Bogota Short Film Festival / Festival de cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS will be this year's guest festival, with a screening of short films participating in the last edition of the festival, and the integration in various meetings with filmmakers and institutions, with the purpose of strengthening the Spanish presence in the next edition, which will take place from December 5 to 12, 2023.

BOGOSHORTS continues its European presence in Figari, Italy

The 13th edition of the Figari International Short Film Festival, one of the most important short film festivals in Italy, will take place from June 26th to July 1st. It is held every year in the Gulf of Aranci, Sardinia Island, Italy. There, Jaime E. Manrique, founder and director of BOGOSHORTS, will be part of the jury that will select the winning short films in the National & Animation Competition, as well as participate in the festival's audiovisual market.
