Love, Death & Robots, the anthology of science fiction shorts created by Tim Miller and David Fincher for Netflix, premieres its third season; the first had 18 chapters, then 8 in the second and finally 9 in the third. 35 works from all around the world, in different animation techniques and of different durations, are available for lovers of animated short films.

David Fincher makes his debut this season directing his first animated short film, Bad Travelling (2022), in collaboration with Andrew Kevin Walker, screenwriter for Seven (1995). Bad Travelling is a screenplay by Walker inspired by Neal Asher's original story, where he explores how humans bring out the worst in themselves to survive.

For his part, Tim Miller, American animator, film director, creative director and VFX artist, became known in 2005 when he was nominated at the Oscars for Best Animated Short Film with Gopher Broke ( 2004).

Following the path of shorts collections, Homemade will soon make its appearance, a series by Pablo Larraín (Tony Manero, Spencer) and Juan De Dios Larraín, from their production company Fábula, which is made up of 17 shorts directed by some of the most relevant directors of the world, including Larraín himself with Kristen Stewart, Paolo Sorrentino (La grande bellezza, The Young Pope), Naomi Kawase (A bakery in Tokyo, True Mothers), Sebastián Lelio (A Fantastic Woman, Disobedience) , Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, The Bad Batch), among others. Each of these short films captures and shares different experiences around the quarantine caused by the global crisis of COVID-19.

The shorts that make up Homemade were recorded in different cities around the world, from Santiago de Chile to Paris, and with the equipment that each filmmaker had at home at the time of isolation, cell phones included; hence its name.

However, Netflix's commitment to promote the short film is not only in the field of production; it has built an alliance with Notodofilmfest, the renowned event dedicated to this format in Spain. Having this goal, they have launched the Desde otro prisma contest, whose objective is to promote new talent and build an increasingly diverse and accessible audiovisual sector. This contest has 3 prizes of 3,000€ each to shoot a short film, the winners will become a finalist at Notodofilmfest 2022.
